I'm still alive, long may it last. My newish computer on the other hand, was corrupted to the core. I'd blame Morgoth, Dark Foe of the World, but actually I later read that it was because of a Windows 10 update. With most other computer stuff, you update to make things safer. What do you dislike about the Sims 4 base game? (Not disagreeing with you, just keen to hear your take on it)

The Sims 4 is technically excellent, the best in the series so far. Expansion, game and stuff packs have added a wealth of detail, more than in any earlier game. The problem is that I find it too work-like and not enough fun to play in the long run ( ... )

Thank you. I did the same thing in Sims 2. I basically used 2 types of mods: Mods that fixed bugs that Maxis never got around to fix, and mods that made the economy more realistic. No §20 000 when you started a new household, you had to borrow the money (mortgage shrub was a familiar sight in my prosperity neighborhood). Bills were 4x higher. Each semester in University cost §5000, and so on.

That is how I would like Sims 4 to be challenging, too. Not by having to wait an hour for the kids to get down the stairs and out to the school bus. (Although that may be realistic, with some kids - supposedly I was one of them...)
