My best friend from high school killed himself.

These are sad, but I don't believe we really could've done anything to change the outcome.

Perhaps that's because I'm a soft determinist...

If we could save anyone there'd be no need of a saviour, n'est-ce pas?

ironically, he wrote a letter to his parents telling them he was going to be with jesus christ.

but self-murder is murder, right? so that's an appointment he won't make it to.

I had my life threatened last night by an angry boy in a deserted park, but I can't really compare to your situation. Most of my peers who have died the situation was not of their choosing. You can't save everyone, true, but when has that ever stopped us from trying? I know I don't know when to stop.

I'd like to say that with suicide, at least it was their choice... but a choice made under duress is no knid of choice at all.

Sorry to hear this; I never knew him, but it's always sad when a man feels compelled to end his own life out of depression or other mental issues. But at least he didn't die the way Jamez died.

Small comfort, I know.

The world of humans is a cruel place. Sometimes. No need to rush your checkout time.
