If all Summers had done was to say "people should research to understand if and how much gender might impact learning experience" then your accusation of hypocrisy would be valid. But that's not all he said. He also said that women do not have the same "innate ability" or "natural ability" as men in some fields. That is what people objected to.

Someone pops up with the typical claim of extremists on either side. It's the old "I heard he said something terrible!" claim. It doesn't require having read a book, listened to a speech or anything similar involving facts.

An internet search can easily find a link toSummers' controversial speech. Let's take a look at it ( ... )
