ninjababe and I actually left the house yesterday, and headed over to the Red Cliffs Recreation Area. It's only a few minutes from the house, and I was told about it by a coworker last summer. Home now, and returned to a heck of a storm coming up from Arizona. Have lost power half a dozen times so far. even with the high winds we regularly get, we don't lose power that often. Next week, we're going with my brother to Lake Panguitch (another place we've never been)for the day and to check out this place that he read about in Via magazine ( Read more... )

ninjababe and I went up to Pine Valley yesterday. It's about 2000' higher than we are and a very different landscape with meadows and pine trees. And about 20 degrees cooler! It was really very pretty and worth the drive up the mountain.

I was cleaning up the computer, and realized I don't have any pictures of the costume I wore in San Antonio. Somehow, after moving to the new PC, I totally lost track of the ones I know I saw at some point after the Road Trip. If you have such photos uploaded, could you point me in that direction?

More proof these kittens have a stuffed animal fetish. Iona, aka The Niblet, took off with my Tigger beanie and promptly fell asleep with him on my bed (the blue thing in all these pics is a tarp, BTW. Helps keep hair and any accidents off my bedding) Isn't she freakishly adorable? She's Horatio's sister, in case you're keeping track.
