I'm with you on just about everything, except for new Spock. I really liked ZQ's portrayal of Spock. I bet he'll only get better as the new movie series goes on. But yes, Karl Urban was the best of all of the rebooted actors. I think everyone did a fantastic job at portraying the original characters without looking like they were doing an impression of the original character, but Karl did it best.

I'm hoping he grows on me, since I'm betting we're going to a bunch more movies!

I'm afraid to watch it. I was shocked to find out they destroyed Vulcan. If that means no Tuvok, waaah! He's my second favorite Vulcan! I think the only way I can watch it is to treat it as a completely different timeline.

It is a completely separate timeline, so you're safe :)

I liked the movie.
I'm not sure how I feel about the alternat realaty reboot though.
loved the actors except (and this is very nit picky and silly, because they really did and excelent job.) is that spock was to heavey (not fat, just broader in the face) and Uhura was too skinny.

I prefer a reboot than having to listen to die hard Trekkies complain at every turn how that didn't happen in the series LOL

I need to see it a second time too, but I LOVED it.

Except Sulu. Boy, was he bland and nondescript, or what.

Yeah, Sulu didn't leap out and grab me :(
