Decided to try and find some more images of the actress/opera singer that I ended up using as a visual template for Charlotte. Found a bunch more than the the original two I had initially. A lot are here, and I've put a few under the cut. what's cool is many of them are stage/performance photos, so she's in a variety of period dress. Wonderful ( Read more... )

What a happy accident that out of all the the vintage icons I made, that the one I accidentally started using for Charlotte turned out to be a famous early twentieth century opera singer!

And the portrait inspired me to try something new, although it looks like a soft of half finished painting!

That is the coolest thing! It looks like you painted Ezra right onto Charlotte's portrait. Awesome

It's funny what happens when you do a little 'digging'. Many years ago (8!) I wrote a story for the Starsky & Hutch fandom involving a 'saponified' body, that was based on a real event here in Washington State. I used to have the original newspaper article of the event because it was just plain old fashioned weird! Tonight I finally found the real story online, after years of searching!

Now, I may have gotten a little confused, but I seem to remember 'Sparrow' being Charlotte's married name?

One of her married names, yes, but when I created the character she was married, and was Charlotte Sparrow, so that's how I think of her :) To be exact, it's Charlotte Black Sparrow.
