I never cared for this whole plot. I've long detested stories in which personalities (or superpowers, in comics) seem to be like liquids which be easily poured from one vessel (person) into another and back again*. This one did little to change my mind. I'm sure Adrian Paul had fun playing an unrepentant bad guy for a change, but...that's not reason enough to do this story.

*Yes, I suppose Quickenings might fall into this category, but at least a Quickening transfer is deadly, spectacular and irreversible

Around the same time, Forever Knight did a similar story. It was goofy as heck.

I have to disagree and say that I really liked this story. They had already skimmed the idea about transferring personalities with quickenings with Darius and the light quickening. And I liked the way they set up the story with Coltec being a Hayoka. I thought it was very interesting. And Adrian did a great job playing dark Duncan. I thought it was brilliant. Of course, I loved the second part even more when Methos came to save him. Killing Sean Burns was tragic, but if they were truly going to have Duncan this lost and unable to connect with his inner core, then he needed to harm someone he cared about, someone he would never hurt if he was in his right mind.
