I'm sorry to hear about your brother, and I hope he gets to feeling better soonest.

I'm also very sorry about the losses of your lovely friend and your kitteh. It really has been a terrible year so far, and I hope it only gets better for you from here on.

I'm sorry. What happened to your brother? I doubt you missed too much on LJ or DW. We are discussing doing a 2 ep a week rewatch of Highlander on Killa's journal though, if you or Nin are intersted.

He had emergency surgery for a twisted bowel about 15 yrs ago. Turns out the surgery was botched, according to surgeon here. They'd done something wrong with the the way they reconnected things (he drew pictures on the whiteboard of what it was like and how he put it back the way it was supposed to be)and had left a piece of the dead bowel in, which was ready to perforate. He was as hopping mad as a nice Mormon doctor can be over the whole thing. I'm very thankful the ER doctor insisted bro come back the next day for a followup instead of just giving him antibiotics and calling it a day since the initial diagnosis was an infection in the intestine.

Saw that, but I barely have time to keep up the new shows on. Sounds like fun though.

Emergency surgery is no fun regardless of your age. I hope it wasn't too serious and he can be back home on Saturday.

That was the intention. Brown bears are for children and black bears are for adults.

There wasn't time to air-ship a stuffed black bear from "The Indian Village" curio shop in St Ignace MI, so it had to be from the hospital gift shop.

I'm having similar thoughts about broken mirrors and such. 2014 is going to go down as the very bad, not so good year.
