Everyone's saying he must be Kree, or possibly Atlantean.

I'm not sure but I do know that the hand structure was exactly the same as The Other from Avengers.

Either way, Coulson has alien blood inside him and it might be why he was so drawn to Skye...because she's a hybrid of the same species.

He was already accepting the fact that he was dead for days and had all these experiments and things, but now he's going to worry all over again about how human he really is...
And whether it's a Quasar/Star-Lord/Ultragirl/etc. situation where he has secret alien powers/conditions he doesn't know about yet...

Looks like the guy who is a Kree in the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. Kree have a huge healing factor. :) But yep, that's the consensus right now. Though technically, G.H. was Guest House - the guy was T.A.H.I.T.I. Or at least, the project using him was.

Adds to Clark Gregg's tweet from a while ago about

“@MythGeek: @clarkgregg how do you recode a mans brain to make it stay alive? #AgentsOfSHIELD” --Seems almost inhuman...

reference to the Kree's Inhuman project from the comic series?

Definite possibility. They certainly are playing around with stuff from the comic books what with Graviton, Deathlok, and Lorelei, not to mention Sif coming to the show. ;)

So far there's only been a single unidentified partial body that apparently was part of the T.A.H.I.T.I. project. From what was shown of that partial body on that single episode of the show it could be a species already shown in the MCU--Kree (in the GotG trailer), Juton (Thor), Chitauri (the Avengers)--or something that hasn't been shown in the MCU yet like Atlantean. I don't think you need to rush right into getting caught up on the show yet. 8)

Kree seems most likely to me. Frost Giant and Atlantean are close second and third but he didn't look quite right for either of those. Chitauri seems unlikely as he's obviously been there long enough to make medicine from his blood, and there's nothing to suggest they had been to our world before New York, but you never know. Perhaps not alien, but super-soldier related? But I really doubt that. Whatever the answer, it's getting very exciting, especially with Lorelai showing up. *bounces*

Kree seems most likely to me.

Yeah, while I'll wait to see what they actually wind up identifying it as, that definitely would make sense not just from the appearance of the partial body, but also with the MCU working towards the GotG movie with a Kree in its trailer, and with jeymien mentioning how that Clark Gregg tweet might be a reference to the Kree's Inhuman project from the comic series.

...but you never know.

Exactly. Safest to wait and see where they're going.

...especially with Lorelai showing up.

When I heard that the lady who was going to be playing Lorelei was someone who tried out for Black Widow I immediately started praying the writing for Lorelei would be good. We didn't get much more than a tease at the end of the episode, but it was nice that seemed to let her being using magic they way they should. :D

What or who was G. H.?

*In her best Ferris Bueller's economics teacher voice.*

G.H. stood for Guest House. That was the name of the overall facility.

T.A.H.I.T.I. was the acronym for the project that the thing in the tube was the center of.

*Abandons impression.*

No idea what the TAHITI acronym stood for (which I'm just as curious about as what the thing in the tube actually is), what else might have been being held in the "Guest House" besides the thing in the tube (given the project for the thing had its own acronym there likely were other guests in the facility), or if the thing in the tube was actually Kree. It's up to the MAoS writers to fill us in on however much of that stuff they feel like. @.@
