We really enjoyed the play. Great cast all around, and I loved the staging, and how they used lighting.
Glad you really enjoyed the play! I enjoyed it once I could get into it, but something about the venue and-or the staging had me feeling claustrophobic at first. I mean I was fine seeing the MacBeth with Kenneth Branagh the NTL originally broadcast from Manchester last year, and the Frankenstein they originally broadcast from the National Theater's Olivier Theater (I think) in 2011. Coriolanus in the Donmar though... I know the theater is only 251-seat to begin with so it could just be that, but I think painting out the square might have contributed to it to. Whatever it was, I did get past it as I got into the play. It just was a challenge at first to stay focused on what the actors were doing rather than where the actors were doing it.
