So, out of curiosity, I clicked over to the National Theatre Live website, after reading that they were doing an encore streaming of Coriolanus, certain that if there were any viewing here in the States, it would be like in New York. Heh. My local place that does NTL broadcasts is only a half an hour away, but I had to choose whether I wanted a ticket for Coriolanus or for Benny's Frankenstein and I chose finally getting to see Benny's Frankenstein. >:)

oooh - I saw that in November! It was good - Ben was excellent! I am not a huge fan of the Frankenstein *story* though - but it was very well acted!

They played it here on Halloween, and I couldn't go then because I had class that night. :(

I am not a huge fan of the Frankenstein *story* though...

That's okay. I am a huge fan of the Frankenstein story. I've written a 12 page paper on the original book for a college course. I hope the play treats the Monster decently. I know it doesn't let him have hair the way he does in the book, but I'm more interested in how articulate they let him be.

...but it was very well acted!

The only thing I'm more excited by is the thought of Benny doing Hamlet. That makes me dizzy if I think about it much. @.@

Well, I hope you made it there.

I went to a streaming in Düsseldorf. Even on the way to the cinema and right before at dinner in a restaurant right next to the place, my companion and me played a little game called "Look at those girls, bet they will attend the screening too".

I guess 90 - 95% of the audience consisted of fangirls. No one was wearing something like a Loki-shirt but you just looked at this huge group of 25 - 35 year old women and thought, 'Yeah, we are all here for the great culture value of the play... oh, who do we try to kid here, we want to see Tom.'

The play was quite intense and it was worth it (even when it took like forever to get back home after it).
