I've been curious about how long you've been using this character in your fiction. My oldest OFC - and still write in the Young Indy fandom when the mood strikes me - is from way back in my high school years, starting in 9th grade. Is Charlotte that old of a character for you?

No, I've only been writing her since 2007, and it was supposed to be a one shot story, but she had other ideas :) There were OFCs that came before her.

Do you still use any of the previous OFCs? I'm always interested in what original characters people stick with and why.

I haven't written them off (no pun intended), but they're linked to the fandoms I write in, and some I don't really write in anymore. My most prolific OFC I haven't written since I wrote a non con story. While I think it was one of the best things I've ever written, I found it hard to go back and deal with the consequences, if that makes any sort of sense.

I did take one of my OMCs and steal him for my current series.
