Cut It Loose

I finally gave up on Supernatural. I'd been on the fence, keeping on recording it, not quite sure if I was going to stop watching entirely, but spoilers from last week's decided it. So the timer and the 12 eps we hadn't seen got deleted last night. I'd say it was fun while it lasted, but SPN was never really a 'fun' show - but I did enjoy the six ( Read more... )

I seriously need to follow your lead and do the same. For some reason, I can't stop watching it.

Just curious, what spoilers did you see? Because I really raged in my LJ post about a certain horrific, gut-churning act, one that still bothers me NOW when I think about it.

Probably the same thing? I didn't read your post since you had an image warning, and I really didn't want to see it. My final straw was reading about the dog.

That's exactly what I raged about. My gifs were, uh, statements I wanted to share with Ben Edlund. I hate him so hard now.

Oh! Okay, I'll read the post then. I just didn't want visuals.

I've been wanting the show to end since about the middle of the sixth season {it was supposed to end after 5 seasons}, and stuck it out until the second to last episode of season 6. My whole thought on the show now is "I can't even". It's a shame because it was one of my favorite shows for the longest time.

At least I have the 5 seasons I want on DVD. I can just pretend it ended there.

It is a shame. I have never seen the show, but I've read up about it...in part to decide if I wanted to see it. The first several seasons sounded good...then, it just seemed to go nowwhere.

Sometimes, I miss that our shows are not more like the Japanese shows, which tend to follow a story arc and when they get to the end, sometimes, they just let them end.

(Not always, occasionally, even the Japanese shows have a lame last season. ;-)

I just wrote my own comments on it on my livejournal. The commment here grew into its own entry that needed to be said.

I just weep for this show.
