Tempted

I have had the urge to revisit Queen of Swords, and my long neglected WIP after all this time. Unfortunately, a few idiots on ff.net really ruined the joy I had in writing that particular series, and about the same time, I became besotted with M7. So I just stopped writing it. But it's been on my mind lately. Why do I insist on writing in long ( Read more... )

I've been meaning to go watch QoS. I think I've got a few eps of it... so many shows to watch, so little time...

I can point you to the entire series if you're looking. Just let me know :)

Why on earth do you care what they thought about it?
If you enjoyed it, why not pick it up again?

I understand fully and can relate........I posted the first chapter of my LOTR tale on a group who proceeded to hack it to death because I had the affront to do an AU following the encounter with the orcs at the end of FOTR.
I had had a dream and wrote about it and had huge plans. I finished first chapter, which was quite long and actually have finished a second but now not sure if I want to try again. Maybe this time on ff.net.

The point of me droning on is GO FOR IT if it brings you joy.
I have actually been considering doing same for my tale.
My sister and brother in law, both writers and readers of LOTR, told me how good it was..........Perhaps I should have listened to them more closely and wrote off the trolls in that group.

It just tainted it at the time. And then another fandom came along and the combo just pushed it aside. Believe me, if I didn't write because people didn't like it, I'd never write anything at all.

Sorry. I guess I was thinking it was something else, however, it would
not be the first time this has happened to me in this business known as LJ

Well, would it be possible to do some sort of a crossover AU thing with Mag 7, by fudging the timeline? I didn't watch it regularly, but I did catch a few episodes here and there - my dad was more of a regular watcher.

Only if time travel were involved [g] Or the QOS characters were very old. Which isn't impossible of course. One of my characters in Transformative Variations is actually Tessa and Robert's great great granddaughter - I couldn't resist the little nod there [g]

What exactly is the time difference between The Queen of Swords and Magnificent Seven? Would it be possible for you to have the descendants of TQOS characters interact with the boys?

QoS takes place after the Napoleonic wars (there's a few flashbacks to the war in the series), I've set it at approximately 1818, since in 1821, Mexico declared its independence from Spain, and at the time of the series, it's still a Spanish colony. So it's a minimum 50 year difference, or as much as nearly 70 depending on where you date M7 [g] So yes, absolutely possible for them to interact with descendants.

I've been going through small fandoms to see what i have missed over the years and came across Queen of Swords. It looks interesting and am going to look it up.

I actually have read your stories for the fandom and like them. I hop that you do continue your WIP. I was getting interested in it.

I love flamers. I always post that I use flames to roast marshmallows in order to make s'mores. They seem to hate that leave me alone. I feel for ya!

It was a fun little show, and I'm extremely fond of it. I may pop in an episode or two today and see what happens!
