I have been super busy (of the good kind) these past few days I didn't have time to update my blog. My dad is getting here in a matter of hours, so I want to take this opportunity and micro-blog the highlights of my life, especially since these are my last days in Singapore (serious *sniff* *sniff* this time around)...

- I agree that there was so much going on that you weren't sure where it was headed tonally. I didn't particularly think that it offered much good dvice, and I wish that Ginnifer Godwin and the rest had been in a better movire.

As for the movie, it seemed like it was sitting on the fence there, trying to be a comedy, but the ending kind of sucked for a comedy.
It had some drama in its core, but it wasn't explored too much.
And as for advice, I didn't read the source material -- the original non-fiction book, so I can't comment on that, except that surely not all men are like that...
If they only concentrated on two couples, like Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck, and Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Connoly, just to compare and contrast it could have been much better. Or make the movie longer and richer in plot -- I kind of liked the ensemble as a whole.

so I can't comment on that, except that surely not all men are like that... My reaction was 'I know that not all women are like that. In fact, very, very few are!' And the same is true of the guys.
It might have been better if they had concentrated on two couples and given them more depth. Actually it's the more depth thing that would have improved it, whether it was an ensemble piece or not.
