Last night I sat down and watched the most anticipated DVD of the year,* Justice League: A New Frontier, and given that the book it’s based on is easily in my top five favorite comics, ever, shit got real.

sad to hear the movie didn't live up to the source - though not surprised. it's a shame that every three months someone has to make the point that comics are actually better as comics than as their movie-option dreams ... though truthfully, we the Geekish share a lot of the blame. Though the first to get pissed when a WANTED gets watered down and a new franchise gets rebooted, it's our enthusiasm for the source material and our weblogs atop weblogs dreaming of the "perfect cast" that get the shit storms made in the first place... and for every great Nolan helmed Batman, there are seven Leagues of Extraordinary Gentlemen (sob, sob, sob).
even sadder though is the fact that i've been cold turkey off the floppies for a while due to some "ways" restraints and lack of "means" here in NC... and i was having such a good time with Wolfman...
