[[ Anyone who hangs around Firo often can tell that he's preoccupied and oddly lost in thought. Neither of those two things happens often. At all. ]]

The moving photos are more a product of special film and a particular potion used in the film's production than a reel.

Any particular reason you're wanting to bring a movie here?

In the film's production... but what if you use the same potion on the reel of the movie? What if, say, I asked my guardian to send me an old VCR of a movie. I could dismantle it and put the potion on the reel. Would that do anything?

It's for a girl friend who's never seen The Godfather.

Right. I meant the film's development, not production, but you still seem to understand what I meant.

The Godfather? Good film.

[ He stops writing and sits back in his chair, stroking his chin thoughtfully. Pictures are one thing; movie films are another. For one thing as in the photos, the subjects of the photo still act like the real person, only that person is 'stuck' in that moment of time regarding how they act. Plus, they have no sound.

[ Paintings, on the other hand, are practically (if not actually) sentient, and are able to move, hear and speak. This being the reason Marcus doesn't have any paintings in his office, classroom, or quarters. If nothing else, it was worth looking into. ]

I'll get back to you on that.

The best.

[[ Firo had been thinking along the same lines as well - funnily enough, he wasn't as stupid as he claimed to be when he was seriously invested into something. ]]

Well... worse come to worst, I could ask my guardian to rip the audio of the movie onto a vinyl and simultaneously play the two. Whatever works.

Just that the movie means a lot to me and I want to share it with the girl.

[ Marcus taps the arm of his chair. Counseling is not exactly his forte, but...]

Does the girl in question have prior experience with Muggle films? The Godfather is intense, moreso as a first film.

...no, I can't say she does. You do have a point...

What would you suggest, then, Professor?

[[ There's a few ink blots before he hesitantly adds ]] It's for the 14th.

I would suggest delaying movie night until later, Mr. Prochainezo. I'm currently in London.
