It's common to need reading glasses a few years after you have LASIK done, actually. Eyes are degenerative by nature. Even LASIK doesn't fix them permanently.

Yeah, I have a friend who got lasik and he does that. I just thought it was funny that you could use hipster stereotypes to explain it.

Wait, when you say reading glasses, do you mean near-sightedness or far-sightedness? *wants to get LASIK later in the year and is curious* Since.. I've heard that when you get older your near-sightedness starts to, like, .. lessen or smth? ... *is confused in general*

Uh, I really have no idea. My mom had LASIK over a decade ago and a few years she started needing glasses for quilting/crocheting/reading/computer work. Today she went and got bifocals. That's all I know, sorry. :(
