Today at work we celebrated my birth. Half the staff ate the cake, one person didn't want any and the other half only ate a few bites and threw away the rest. The icing was really rich and was almost too much to handle, but I think they threw away the cake because it was 'vegan.' Oh shit! Oh well, I have a huge birthday cake in my fridge to eat

I just started Middlesex last week. It's pretty long, but you get used to the unique style after a chapter or so. It's good so far, but I'm told it gets great.

I listened to the audiobook of Middlesex when I was going to EMU and on I-94 for two hours a day. The person who reads it has quite a wonderful voice, and the recording is unabridged.
