I've been thinking random thoughts (stirred by my headdesking every time I so much as look at the name Hal now XD) and I think one of the issues I have with Hal is that they made such a mess of his evil side. Lately I've been thinking about character exits a bit (and to a lesser extents, show exits), and as much as the BBC has the reputation for ripping people's hearts out, I think it's doing the right thing by occasionally killing off half of the cast - because honestly, anything is better than watching them decay slowly. I know I'm beating up a dead horse with those cure rants and I find it slightly alarming that my examples comes from The Vampire Diaries of all shows, but boy, they are really handling this whole cure thing just right!
