Well, it did happen in the comic, but briefly and it was canceled when L.A. reverted back from the hell dimension. XD I still don't really get it.
Hahaha, well, yes, I support the detox hallucination idea too, but I meant specifically out of these three. Given any other option, I'll take the hallucination one too.
I still feel this deep-seated need to write a fic that would fuck up this "happy" ending like no tomorrow. XDDDD Also, halluciCutler would have so much fun with the finale material. XDDD

I like some bits of After the Fall (like Connor and Angel moments, Connor working with Spike, Illyria and Wesley moments) but overall, I don't think it would have gine quite the same way if they'd got season 6. So yeah... most of the time I ignore it. XD

I've been pretty quiet on the finale (at least on LJ/Tumblr) and I don't feel as strongly negative about the episode or about the season in general as you do, but I'm dreading this extra scene that Whithouse keeps touting, because I really don't want to accept anything other than that the trio fucked up and have been entirely duped by the devil and their actual bodies are currently locked underground in one of Rook's DoDD cells and eventually they're going to start to feel their dormant underlying conditions again and they can try to ignore it for a little while, but eventually it all starts to collapse around them and they wake up in a cell in the middle of a freakin' apocalypse.

YES! All that! That is my ideal theory! And I actually really want to write that (and then I remember that if I do write, I'd actually have to... not ignore series 5 as a whole). XDDD
I can't keep quiet when I'm annoyed. T_T It's one of my flaws both IRL and in fandom. XD

I've been dabbling at writing pieces of it this week, but as to where those pieces will go at this point or how long it will take them to get there is anyone's guess.

I feel like I'm just starting to pull together all of my feelings on both season 4 and season 5 (since I essentially went from 4 right into 5 with no gap in between) and am finally getting my head around the aspects of the characters and events that I want to explore in fic, and the fact that there is this one final piece of canon dangling out there is annoying me to no end. I don't want it! (unless it's totally in line with what I DO want, that is. Then I suppose it's okay.)

Then I suppose it's okay.) YES! Moreover, if there's anything at all about the finale I like, it's that it's not definitive. We have three main theories so far and we can come up with an infinite number of other possibilities, so if the extra scene takes a step towards making it more set in stone, I'll feel cheated.

Hel-lo, diabolical fever dream. Haha YES! I think it's one of the very few things I did like about BH s5. Most importantly, it makes AU fics easier for me to write if I ever want to. Because if the last few minutes of 5x06 were a dream, I can imagine that everything else was too XD
