Congratulations!

I don't really know too much about raising baby Pokemon, I'm afraid, but it would probably be a good idea to make sure they stay warm, with the weather being as cold as it is now. Oh, but you've probably already though of that, I guess...

Thank you!

Yes, I am waiting until it's warmer to actually take them outside... One of them is weak to water and the other to ice, that cannot end up well.

[Lion nods, and then adds thoughtfully.] I should get some extra blankets for them, however.

I'm sorry! I suppose my suggestion was fairly obvious, wasn't it? I do wish I could be of more help.

I'm sure you'll be a wonderful parent to them though.

A-ah! There is no need to apologize, Kuronuma-san, I know you meant to be helpful.

And you did remind me that I will need some extra blankets if I intend to keep them out of their pokéballs, so I am thankful.

I understand a bird hatching from the egg, along with the lizard but I have heard of mammal-based Pokémon hatching from eggs also.

Can you supply any information on this?

Also, congratulations.

Thank you.

As far as I have heard, all pokémon hatch from eggs. Genderless pokémon, or even those that look like minerals can reproduce in the same way.

I haven't heard of anyone actually knowing how their reproductive systems work other than that.

The genetics here are quite troublesome when filling the role of a Breeder.

I suppose I will just have to resort to sticking my Pokémon in a room and wishing for the best.

I am interested in selective breeding myself, maybe I can let you know more about it once I start investigating further?

[There's a raised eyebrow, followed by a short laugh. It's nothing insidious, just extremely disbelieving.]

I would ask if you think there is a difference between raising children and raising Pokemon, but perhaps the boundary isn't so distinct here.

I wouldn't teach my two day old child how to fight, of course. That may be the main difference.

Not even to defend him or herself? Well, I suppose little kids learn how to do that on their own, physically or verbally. Isn't this all slightly cruel though? Raising them only to battle? I've been told that's what their purpose is.

They seem to have a deeply etched fighting instinct, you can see it with them even in the wild. My Ditto, for example, enjoys those battles quite a bit. In the end it's all up to the nature of the pokémon.

I don't really plan on raising them only for that, however, that would be simply heartless.

Try not to let them wander off on their own too much.

[Nods.] I do. This pair seem to be too curious for their own good.

It's a baby Pokemon thing. Mine are like that, too.

Most children are like that too... It's even worse when there are more than one of them.

[A small giggle at the scene. By some reason all the pokemon Anew has seen so far inspired such innocence in her]How do you get those? there are so cute!

[The babies make everyone go AWWW XD] There have been several egg sales lately, I got these two from one sale, and the one in the bed from a different one.

I am planning on breeding my own, once they have grown a little more.

I bet my Sentret would love to have a little brother to play with [And that would give Anew some time for herself, since Lockon liked to spend every moment outside his pokeball attached to his breeder's leg]

Oh! That's great, if you get a Sentret egg can I have it?

I will let you know if I ever find one. These children can really lighten up the mood.
