Oh, this is bittersweet; it made me feel a little choked up. I'm looking forward to coming chapters.
Favourite line: Touya could recall hundreds of occasions when Go made everything better and when everything disintegrated without it. I really do believe this would be the case between them.
/sneaking comments in from work (your fic are a very bad influence :P) The start of this really gave me a very bad feeling but then the last scene just gave me hope all over again *burbles
*dies You will always manage to sneak in a line that made me squee "Well, your Go books are so heavy!" Shindou had argued when confronted. "And besides, I was sort of hoping to catch you bending over to grab one of those 400-page bricks… wait, did I say that out loud?"
Uh, thanks? You could always save it to read later; I don't mind in the least. ^_^; I think I'm sermonising a lot in this chapter--have to watch that. But glad you didn't hate it despite the beginning.
And I'm glad you liked that line: it's fun to write Hikaru and Akira's dialogue.
I have to say that the outset of this intrigues me - the ending which isn't an ending at all was particularly strong, I found, so in lieu of anything more intelligent to say: I'm looking forward to seing more :)

Yeah, the two of them are connected by Go; I wanted to see what their relationship would like, in the face of that.
