Okay, so Wicked was what I expected it to be, mindless entertainment high quality mindless entertainment.

My sister absolutely loved it, which made me happy. There's something about showing someone a movie, or in my case, a musical, that he/she has never seen before, and watching them experience it for the first time. That's what made last ( Read more... )

I'm not too big on musical theater, but I've been wanting to see Wicked.

I've never read any of Bruce Coville's stuff (he worte 'My teachers an alien' or whatever it's called, right?) but his mom used to cut my hair when I was a kid.

That is so cool about your childhood haircutter! I feel like I have some random connection to him now, but I'm lame and a little creepy, so it fits haha.

While it does have its faults, Wicked is a great introduction into the world of musical theatre. If you ever get the chance I would definitely go see it.

Really glad you were able to share the magic of theater with your little sis!!

As for lunges. Why would you do that to yourself? Ugh those are EVIL!

For some reason I've never been too displeased with lunges, they make me feel like I've accomplished something haha
But this experience was a little too much "accomplishment" in one sitting for me

Bravo! I love reading reviews. Nice job.

final exams > being thrown into piranha tank > lunges > death. I know where you're coming from.

By the way, I have a new band for you: Fleet Foxes. I have a feeling you will like their self-titled album, which came out just a few days ago.

Thanks!

Good call on Fleet Foxes! I just checked them out and ended up buying three of their songs, they have an awesome sound to them.

I got White Winter Hymnal, Ragged Wood and He Doesn't Know Why. I think Ragged Wood is my favorite right now though haha.

And just in case you were on the lookout for a potentially killer cast album, I highly recommend Passing Strange; easily the most brilliant new musical this season.
