I was reading B's dorama post and thinking about whether I've watched any doramas without any idols at all in them. The answer is YES!! One of the best doramas ever is Oyaji and I didn't realize Junichi Okada was an idol until halfway though. *saves for my dorama rec post in the making* Anyways, that doesn't count

haha I remember watching MnO. Norika is so hot yet she can't act to save her life poor thing. I really liked watching the one B-chan watched recently Kiken na Kankei though, but only because of Toyokawa's role.

That wife actress got another part which was very similar again with this schizo-role later in another dorama. I remember feeling instantly repulsed by her (because of her wolf infatuation). It might be called Wednesday (or maybe Friday) Lovers.

Another bad one of Norika's is Star no Koi or something with Kusanagi Tsuyoshi.

Lol I don't even know which doramas I have watched are classified as idol dorama.

I cannot picture Norika paired with Kusanagi Tsuyoshi lolol.

But I DO want to watch the Koyuki/Goro one where they play married attorneys, Sasaki Fusai something. It hasn't been subbed though. :( Hey, let me know if you watch that one!!

Koyuki/Goro dorama, never heard of it. Yeah lol I watch a lot of dorama for someone who's not Japanese.

Well it's hard to really define "idol dorama" cause there's a vary wide spectrum of idols. I call "kurokawa no techou" a non idol dorama, even though T would correct me stating that it has plenty of former (male) idols in it. But no idols from my idol-yellow-pages, which consist of Johnny's or other music people. So...idol dorama for myself is anything Kimutaku / Shingo / Arashi etc.

Doramas with ridiculous plot I have fully enjoyed though were "Toshishita no otoko", "Bokura ni, ai wo!", "Love Story" (weak role for Toyokawa tho) or..hmm I forgot. But yeah, some of this stuff is hilarious.

BTW T and I mutually agreed to not watch any more Nodame...not even hot a$$ Chiaki can keep me interested.

PS: oh I can not find anything about Gackt splitting Nakai's crotch in half..can you point me to it? I ended up watching 1 hr of ridiculous youtube clips about Gackt and variety shows I didn't even know.
Bu the one in the 100yen shop was LOL
