I feel really bad for England's goalie though, seems like he got a lot of flak after letting that goal in.

Man, every store has some sort of World Cup item right now. Clothes in red and white, bed sheets with England's flag printed on them, people in red and white afros wearing red and white clothing ambushing people in the busy shopping areas...

I'm not really cheering any team on. Both my flatmates are avid followers though, so I'm sort of up-to-date on the matches and results. I do have an interest in how the UK fares since I'm here and all :D

That magazine cover is been making the rounds..I love it! I've also checked that comm, thanks for your link. Last night we watched some clips they had there, interviews with Gomez, Oezil and Schweinsteiger - who expressed that he'd prefer not to be called Schweini anymore because he's getting older now lol.

Gomez, Klose and Schweini shall be my three favorites. I noticed that Gomez is a good talker which is umm...uncommon for some of those guys. I couldn't listen to Oezil without cringing...can't really explain without being not politically correct but anyway - he's a world class soccer player so it doesn't count anyway, right?

anyways, i haven't got around to watching any interviews yet, but i will. i admit i know nothing about gomez. but i shall learn. i didn't know anything about ozil either except the basic stats; he just caught my eye on the field. & isn't schweini only 24 or so? lol. "getting older"

LA will be lakers crazy this week. & here i am shopping for world cup gear. damn, a jersey really costs $100!
