Jason was a bit nervous, he really wanted Sookie and Cassie to like each other. He decided to go out to eat at Merlotte's so Sookie who was about to get off could sit down with him and Cassie and eat, let the two get to know one another. He slipped into a chair smiling at Cassie.

"That's Sook over there, the pretty blond."

Cassie wasn't too sure about this. She had never really met anyone's family before and really wanted Sookie to like her since she knew how much she meant to Jason. When they arrived at Merlotte's, she sat down and looked to where he was pointing.

"She is pretty," she said with a smile.

Sookie finished filling Arlene in on what was what with her tables. As she was untying her apron from around her waist, she 'heard' a few people notice Jason coming in.

After tossing her apron in the laundry bin behind the counter, she gave her brother and his girlfriend a little wave.

After patting Terry's arm, she walked around the long bar and over to their table to sat down. While she couldn't read vampires' minds, she knew how she might feel being introduced to someone's family. Sookie imagined nervous was at the top of the list. Her smile was genuine as she looked first at her brother, then at Cassie. "Hi. I'm so glad to meet you. I'm Sookie." After everything that had happened in the past year or two, the only thing she was sure of was if this girl made her brother happy, Sookie was happy.

Jason stood then to give Sookie a hug, before sitting back down. He smiled taking Cassie's hand, all the while in his head just hoping they got along. "Sookie this is Cassie, my girl."

Cassie took a deep breath when Sookie started toward their table. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been this nervous, which was a bit strange. She had met so many different people over the last century, and none of them had made her feel like this. She just wanted to make a good first impression.

She smiled at Sookie as she sat down across from them. "It's nice to finally meet you, Sookie," she said. "Jason has told me a lot about you." She paused and softly laughed. "All good things."
