Hades was sitting quietly in his office. There were no tiny tots running up and down the halls. No one was going to come looking for milk and cookies. Bliss.

Plus, after his discussion with his possible future son, he now had a plan.

Thus, quietly musing. The door was open.

"No. I haven't tried, since then. I think it's too risky." She looked down. "I think maybe ... he's supposed to be where he is, and I just need to accept that."

Hades watched her silently for a few long moments. Then he sat back in his chair and shrugged. "Your call, kid. If you want to leave your friend's tormented soul falling in the pit for eternity, that's all you."

"What? Kid, whether you get your friend back or not means exactly squat to me. You made a decision instead of wasting your life umming and ahhing over some putz that's already dead. Good for you. Two big flaming thumbs up." His thumbs were actually alight. They were getting a work out today. The flames faded. "But if you ever change your mind," he added, "You know where to find me."
