Is there a website for these Actionslacks? I've always wanted to check them out from your posts since A) We have similar tastes in music and B) Their name is great
Haha when I finally got into a Lola Ray show after months of their shows being 21+ (this was 18+) the lead singer John offered to buy me a drink. He's like "Are you sure? I'll get you one right now if you want." hah. Have you listened to them? You shoulddd! They're playing somewhere in CA with Zebrahead (odd pairing). I don't know if you like ZH or not. But yeah check LR out, lolaray.com.
I didn't mean this to turn into a LR plugging post, sorry!
Yay! They have 3 streaming mp3s from the new album. I wish they had stuff from The Scene's Out of Sight, too, since that's my favorite album of theirs. But oh well.
Their name really IS great. I read somewhere that they read a review that said, "It's a shame that such a great name was wasted on such a lame band."
OH YEAH, THEY'RE DOING A FEW EAST COAST SHOWS. CHECK IT OOOOOOUT.
I haven't really listened Lola Ray. I'll check them out. But I think their show is at the Pound and it's really tough to get there without a car. I'm still trying to figure out if I can make it to the Park show there.
The songs won't download :( It says they aren't MP3s but MP3 Playlists or something and they don't play if I try to open it or save it. Boo! I would like to see them live but it's no fun going to a show when you know absolutely no songs. At least they're playing at the North Six too and not just the Mercury Lounge (21+ evilness).
Check out Lola Ray if you get a chance, though their best songs aren't on the site to listen to (but Plague and Automatic Girl are really good and so is Charlit Movie Star). And they're soooo great live, there's a big difference in their sound but it's all for the better live.
hahah no you had it right....sickenly sweet couple matt and cassie are haha i have to see them all the time. you can imagine how lonely they make a girl feel ehehe glad you had fun
