I just can't imagine it. He has no plans, other than to build a wall on the Mexican border and make the Mexicans pay for it. To which the Mexicans rightly say, "No fucking way." (And I believe that is a direct quote from the former President.) He stirs up hatred and encourages violence against anyone who is "different." If he isn't elected, what will his supporters do then? I can see them burning and looting and saying the election was "stolen" from Trump, and he'd be right there encouraging them on. He's an utterly despicable man with no regard for the Constitution or the rule of law, and the disenfranchised white trash love him because they want to "take America back" and "make America great again." Well, America IS great, and exactly who do they think "has" America that they need to take it back from? The government? Like those fools in Oregon who wanted all the government controlled lands in the west given back to the "rightful" owners? Who, oddly enough, they don't seem to feel are the Native Americans

Looking on the bright side, I don't think he'd ever achieve anything in power and he's just cynically exploiting people's desparation to get into power so he can be in power.
But then people probably thought that about Hitler.
The best we can hope for is a contested Republican convention. Which looks likely, because the other Republicans are horrified by what they have wrought.
My question is: WTF did they think was going to be the result of all the hate-mongering toward the President just because of his race?
The Republicans have been dividing this country by race for decades, and it's payback time. They have totally lost control, and can't come up with a viable candidate to save themselves. Between race, women's reproductive rights, hating on the gays, and wanting to create a theocracy, they have screwed themselves.
If the convention becomes brokered, who knows what will happen, but I guarantee it will be ugly. They'll do about anything to get rid of Trump at this point. If he doesn't get the nomination, he might appease his base by running as an independent, which would be good for the Democrats, but if he does that, he's more likely to lose, and then what? Riots? And as long as the Republicans deny any responsibility for the mess, which of course, they do, it'll only get worse in the years to come.
The only up-side I see if Trump is elected, is that the Tea Party might learn how to play well with others in Congress, 'cause it's going to take a united front to keep him under any kind of control.
