[it's another one of those days at the beach. In fact, the weather was so pretty that anyone who was working was clearly a crazy person. It was a day off in every aspect of the word, and it was meant to be enjoyed, whether the people of the island wanted to or not

[comes running over and flops down beside her, probably kicking up the sand a bit. He's been playing frisbee with Shawn but now he needs a break.]

[Castle is on the beach today. He looks a little different in swim shorts and a t-shirt, but this is what beach folk wear.

And what, you may ask, is Castle doing on the beach today? Well. He's building a sand castle, of course. And grinning. Make all the jokes you will, you know he already has.]

[except that not even the strongest castle can withstand a volleyball bomb. Claire had tried to block it, but she missed and it landed ... right in the middle of Castle's castle.]

[his eyes go wide as he watches this happen, unable to stop it, and his mouth falls open. After a moment a high pitched noise comes out of it that...can't really be explained. Could be a whine of sorts.]

[there's a Lexie. And a towel. And a swim suit. Lexie is on the towel in the swim suit. There are also sunglasses on her face. She's 100% relaxed here. Bug her if you dare.]

[is stumbling up from the surf, wiping his hair back from his face, and still laughing at something stupid his brother did. His towel isn't far from Lexie's and he just drops down onto it, tipping his head back to the sun]

[there's jumping as her eyes were closed and she's suddenly getting drops of water on her, but when she realizes it's just Sam she smirks]

[is standing on the edge of the shoreline in shorts and a t-shirt, just letting the waves lap at her feet. She's watching the people frolick in the surf, and she'll probably get in there eventually, but for right now, she's just watching]

[there's a Parker out in the surf. She has a boogie-board, because someone taught her to body surf with it. She's been at it forever. Now she's stomach down on it, riding a wave in. And when she sees Kate she will wave with the biggest, happiest grin on her face]

[and...there was a bit too much frantic with the waving, because now she's tipping over and going underwater and tumbling inside the wave]

[she has started to wave, when Parker tumbled off and into the wave, she cringed]

Oh, ow. Parker? You okay?

[she starts to move closer, reaching for the blond's arm under the water]

[she comes up, sputtering water. Her hair is all over the place and she probably drank half of the ocean, but that smile has not faltered. She doesn't even pull away when Kate grabs her]
