James slid his arms around her more tightly, one hand tracing up her back to tangle in her hair. She tasted good, real good, and it was starting to make his head spin a bit. For all that he'd accepted they were here, together, safe, he still had nightmares now and again of what could have happened, and they woke him up shaking. But this was real and solid and he could let all of that go in her kiss.
Oh there were still nightmares. She figured there always would be, but for right now at least, she was too happy to be with him to care. She was thinking about all the things she loved - coming home to him, the smell of him just out of the shower, the taste of him and the way his arms felt when they wrapped around her. So many things about James collided to make her love him more than any other person she knew.
Sighing against his mouth, she pushed backwards a bit. The couch was coming uo behind him, though the hallway to the bedroom was to her left. She didn't really care where they ended up as long as it was sans clothing.
James walked where she pushed, slave to her guidance for the moment, and going where she pleased, finding himself forgetting everything he was worrying about just a few minutes before as the world tilted a bit around him and whatever was in her found its way into him. The room was far too hot, and they had on far too many clothes, the both of them. If there was something they were supposed to talk about, he couldn't remember what it was, and he slipped his fingers under the hem of her shirt to run them over her skin as he pushed it up.
He ran into the couch and stopped, leaning back against it, finding it as good a place to pause for a moment as any while he got her out of her shirt, kissing her more deeply, trying to steady himself on his feet so they both didn't just fall.
Juliet almost didn't want to pull away and break their kiss, but she had to if she wanted to be free of her clothes. She even had enough presence of mind to think ahead and tug his shirt up at the same time. That way she could kiss him without anymore interruption.
Her plan was to do just that until his fingers on her skin made her shiver and her lips found his neck instead. Lazily, she searched for the spots she knew made him hers, and that thought made her giggle a little against his skin. Wandering hands searched out a way to get his pants off quickly and effectively before she pushed him down onto the couch - getting to the bed was the furthest thing from her mind now.
