i'm picky about fong li su. the cheap stuff tastes like construction paper and glue. but the good stuff is moist and fruity and addicting!

hey clearbright, i got some lychee jelly cups from taiwan this past june! i'm not sure if it's the kind from your days of yore, but i'll mail you some so you can decide :) i'm also heading your way in september - do you think the lychee cups stay for that long?

yes yes - i got 2 types from very famous bakeries. One is the buttery type - and the other is this light fluffy type. YUM. I LOVE pineapple cakes - and now I love taiwanese dumplings! YUUUUUUUUUM

fong li soo, the national friendly ambassador of taiwan! have you ever tried suncake? it's also like fong li soo, but not with pineapple & it's flatter with a mochi like thingy in the middle. it's pronounced "tai young bing"
