Reading: I just finished the first two books of another Maggie Stiefvater series, Lament and Ballad. I didn't like them as much as I liked the Raven Cycle (which, ooh, book 3 has a title and a cover and is slated for publication this October!) but they were enjoyable. I can't get into Welcome to Night Vale, though I've tried and tried and tried. I wish it would hook me, but mostly I just get bored. (I'm thinking of trying some of the later eps instead of starting in the beginning, maybe that will work.) In my "I'm trying and trying" effort, I read random fics. I really loved this one! Both sweet and (as far as I can tell) hit the mood of the show. But really, so sweet. :)

I felt the show hit its stride in the middle to end of first season (the Dust Storm pair of episodes was the best!), but lately I've been disenchanted with it.

I've given it three? four? tries now, and never got beyond the third episode. Next time I'll skip ahead for sure. Failing that, I could just read fics, it seems to work fine even without listening to the show.

Very few episodes depend on previous ones. But I also think that they are not so different in appeal, so maybe it is just not for you.
