I clearly need to read up on Mithridates, but sadly, probably not by Yuletide.

Ooh! Now that suggests a whole lot of potential new and interesting crossover ideas!

Mithridates was kind of awesome. Also, kind of awful (cf the genocide he masterminded, and locking all his sisters up to be eternal spinsters).

"Awesome and awful" seems to describe a lot of interesting historical figures...

I've forgotten if you've mentioned it before, but have you read the latest Points book (actually novella), Point of Knives? It's a "midquel" to the first two books, set not long after Rathe and Eslingen have become lovers.
