I'm just amused at how many things JKR telegraphed so well in advance that fanfiction ran them into the ground before she even got a chance!

And, thanks for the nostalgia trip. I swear, the only reason I know the Preamble to the Constitution is because the song has been stuck in my head since I was a kid: We --- the people! (Hmm, a 1776 vid? :-)

The Alien Planet That Somehow Always Looks Like Vancouver

There are bits like this in Battlestar Galactica -- like when they showed a shot of Caprica City and there was a huge Scotiabank logo on one of the buildings that they didn't even try to hide. It was really hilarious.

B and I joke about this all the time. "Oh, there they are at The Planet That Looks Like Vancouver!" But they've never made quite as obvious a screwup as that!
