I can't decide if this BSG thingy makes me want to laugh or cry? Possibly both? Thanks to andacus  for linking it to me. It only hurts because its true.

Also. I... have no pilot icons? This is woeful. Baltar and his invisible sandwich (which makes me laugh EVERY TIME I USE IT) will have to do.

It made me do both.

Also, you need a pilot icon. Leik whoa. It's wrong that you don't have one.

I used to have several, but got rid of them years ago when I got fed up with the fandom. I only added my Baltar and Tigh ones later because they were hilarious.

I was always terrifically invested in the show, but not the fandom. I had issues with some of the stupid people being stupid (obviously no one on my flist. Stupid people aren't allowed on my flist), so I pretty much said "frak off" to the fandom a few years ago. But, yeah I was always invested in the show ( ... )

I totally get why people hated it and a little part of me kinda hates it too, only because I'm empathizing with the characters, but there was just a muted sense of peace and resolution to it that I liked.Wow. That explains EXACTLY how I feel. Thank you!!! I'm just bitter that she's dead. Cause she was SO awesome and she deserved to not be dead. To at least attempt to put herself back together (not that I think it would have worked...) I don't know. Maybe death was better. BAH. Kara Thrace, you make my head hurt and I love you so much ( ... )

I knoooooooooow. But even awesome people die. And, honestly, people as reckless as Kara die way sooner than most. We don't usually get that out of fiction. We usually get what we want, in the end. Because... well, everyone loves a happy ending, right? But there was something grittier about BSG and the themes it had were something I could respect, a story worth telling, I think. I think part of the point was... she had her chances to make her life better. The world doesn't stop for self-improvement attempts. She - and everyone else - had to make what they would of their lives amidst everything else. It was never going to be enough time and Kara was never the kind of girl to die in her 90s peacefully in bed surrounded by her grandkids, you know?

I do feel bad for Lee and really his actions at the end were one of the few I raised an eyebrow at (along with Papa Adama). But... maybe he didn't mean exploring alone? Lee's a lot of things, but he's never been foolhardy. His desertion of humankind is something I question sincerely ( ... )

I'll never get rid of my Lee/Kara icons. It's impossible to let go of some things.

I'm not sure I'd recognize you without that icon!

Hee! I know. It's one of many that I can't ever take out of my rotation. Thank goodness they upped the icon amounts for paid and permanent users. How did I ever manage with three?

I perpetually find that I don't have enough icons. Of course, that's true in my role-playing characters' journals even moreso than here, but I'm not about to pay for more icons for all of them!
