I don't understand why people like cupcakes? And kids, hell they go absolutely bananas for them. I think maybe I've never had a *really* good cupcake, but then I think that's just impossible. I've had plenty, and all of them not so good ( Read more... )

Bitch don't really like cake, and she REALLY don't like chocolate cake. There is something terribly wrong with her.

When she's in my town I will try to remember to take her to this one bakery I know that has red velvet cupcakes that are supposed to be the best.

Myself, I'd rather have pudding.

Cupcakes are like diamonds, it's all marketing hype to support and insidious system.
Diamonds are far less rare than emeralds and rubies/sapphires, but the market value can be up to ten times as much. The wedding industry creates an artificial surfeit of diamonds to keep the price high, to a historically second rate stone.

Cupcakes are OMG cupcakes because they have been associated with parties. Now WHY are they associated with parties? Because they are easy to serve and more brutally easy to maintain portion control. What would be enough batter to make an eight slice cake, can make a dozen+ cupcakes, no plates no forks, less mess, one per serving, HIGH profit margin.

Like Chris Rock says, What the hell is "Fun" about a 1/4 size candy bar? Why are they called "Fun Size" What is fun about getting ripped off?
Does that make a normal candy bar "Blowjob Size?"

It's all marketing.

Although you're right about the rarity of diamonds, they have properties that few other gemstones have, namely fire (dispersion), that make them special and intriguing to look at. I think demantoid garnet has the coolest dispersion properties but the diamond is a close second for me. Don't put it all on the diamond cartel; gemstone collectors love diamonds and wouldn't call it second rate.

The only value cupcakes have in my life is as a carrier for frosting.
