So what exactly do you do in that comm? I might wanna join :D
Basically, when you apply they ask you which team you'd prefer to be on, and you list the Whedon shows in the order you'd like to be on from most to least. They assign you a team and once you join it (and all of the sub-communities) you start competing for points in different challenges. Over all they're pretty easy. There are some writing challenges, some graphics challenges, and some basic luck/chance games. They all earn you some points for your team, and at the end of the round the team with the most points wins.
I haven't been there too long, and there are some things I don't quite get yet, but it's fairly easy to earn points and keep active, so if you've been thinking about it, I'd definitely give it a try.
Is it a lot of work, though? The challenges, I mean. Because with school and all, I probably couldn't do TOO much writing and graphic-making lol. It does sound like fun though :D
Not really, no. I have school too and I can always manage to find time to participate in a challenge here and there. For example, one of the last things we did was a spot-the-difference challenge were you have to find all of the things that had been changed between one screencap and another and post them in the comments. I think it was, like, 20 points and it took me about three minutes. And I made six icons and get 60 points once. And it's not required that you participate in every challenge. The mods are pretty good at keeping everyone informed about what's going on and getting everyone energized, but they understand people have lives off LJ too.
