I like this contradiction here, between the walls she built for Jack and how she didn't even think to build them for James. I love that aspect of the pairing, that it kind of bowled them both over. I do hope she fights for him.

Nice work. :)

I think, because of what she knew of Jack, and Kate's being around, she always kind of assumed Jack would drift her way. She seemed very knowing of the situation in "Something Nice Back Home". But I don't think either Juliet or Sawyer would be incredibly prepared to fall in love with each other, so I can see Juliet not being prepared for either that fact, or for what Kate being back in their lives means for her relationship.

I'm glad you liked it, hun, thanks. :)

Yeah, I won't be happy. I'm pretty invested in them, mostly because they both look happy for once. I hope they stay that way, at least for a while.

I love the last two lines.
You definitely caught the essence of Juliet. :]
I'm really hoping Kate won't fuck things up for Juliet and Sawyer.

Poor Juliet! lovely writing! I have always HATED Kate! I don't like her at ALL!!! I have loved Juliet even when she was an Other, weird, I know. I will also be pissed if she looses James; he'd better don't mess up!

That was such a lovely read! And you know, I've always thought that Juliet didn't truly fall for Jack, first because of the con Ben had planned and she had to execute (which a person as realistic as Jules must've always had in the back of her mind), and second because she always knew how the situation between Kate and Jack was, still complicated and far from resolved. With Sawyer, although she also has seen how much he loved Kate, I really think she had her guard down - perhaps because she never thought she would like someone like him in a romantic way, perhaps because she never thought that *he* would like her that way... or both.
I was nice to see some of my thoughts exposed so nicely in your story, somehow.

This is my favorite line:
She no longer loathed the sight of the world outside her windowsI should've known better than fall in love for a pairing that most likely will have a sad/tragic ending (and a couple linked to the Quadrangle Of Doom - nothing good and lasting has ever come out of that, lol), but I couldn't help myself ( ... )

I really think Juliet had feelings for Jack, but I don't think she allowed herself to let them develop because she knew how Jack felt about Kate and Kate was actually still in the picture. I think, with Sawyer, even though she knew how he felt about Kate all along, Kate was gone, so she probably, over time, let her guard down and at some point fell in love with him. At least, that's how I see it.

I really do love them together, and I'm invested in the idea of them being long-term, because I believe they're so much better for each other. They actually looked happy and in love, and of course the writers had to ruin it. *sigh*

Anyway, I'm glad you liked this, thanks. :)
