Title: Where I Stood
Rating: PG
Summary: She doesn’t think about how unlikely it is that they should find themselves in the same city, on the same street, at the same time. After all that they’ve been through, she sees no point in believing in coincidences anymore.

B) When I read this, I immediately thought of the Carrie/Aidan scene. I'm so glad I wasn't crazy and pulling that out of thin air.
On to the story:
I love the idea of this, of them running into each other on the street like this, now leading very different lives from where they last left off. Jack's got this life, with Juliet and their daughter, and Kate wants to be happy for him but can't help but feel a little sad. And yet this has this wonderful note of finality to it.
This is wonderful! Thanks so much for writing this for me!

It was on the mix that elise_509 made for me, and it's one of the many that have been on constant repeat in my iPod for about a week now. From the second I first heard it, I knew it was a Jack/Kate/Juliet song.

Hee, no. That episode was on a few months ago, and I remember thinking that might be an interesting idea for a fic. When I put the idea and the song together, it finally came out.
I think that, even if you're no longer in love with someone, seeing them in their new life with a child or a wife, or both has to feel like the real end of something. Even if it's been ended for a while. There's a finality to it that has to be sad. I'm so glad you liked this, hun. :) Thank you very much.

First of all, I love that song and it reminds me of Jack/Kate/Juliet so much.
You captured that situation perfectly and in my opinion this would be best for the show, but we´ll see...
The opening reminded of that J.J. Abrams quote, with the NYC street. You know that one?
Anyway, amazing work.

It's such a Jack/Kate/Juliet song, that's what I first thought when I heard it. And the luau gave me an oppertunity to make it a fic, which is really cool. :)
I'm glad you liked this, thanks. :)
