As sad as it is to say, I wouldn't be surprised to have her just...lose it. Go all vegeanance-y on him. It's very possible that it is his fault, somehow, and if not she'll probably think it is. It should be interesting to see how that storyline plays out.

Ben is pretty nuts and I'm pretty sure that he sent Karl and Danielle out there knowing something like that would happen, but that, because Alex was his kid, nothing would probably happen to her. So, I wanted to play with the idea that murdering her family sent Alex over the edge.

I really like this fic. A lot. In fact, as we speak I am cuddling it and feeding it lots of cookies. I will do the same thing to any subsequent "alternate take" versions in which Alex skins Ben alive. Just so you know.

I have to admit, I felt kind of good writing this. Maybe that's terrible to say, but I think Ben knew what he was doing when he sent Danielle and Karl off with Alex, and he's such a possessive freak that he thought it was a-okay to kill them to keep her. And I think that warrents a great deal of karmic payback.

Go Alex! I think that if anyone should get to kill Ben it should be her, not Locke even if we know that he really wants to he'd never be able to, Alex could though
