Rating: PG
Summary: It’s easy to lose yourself in the feeling of being loved by someone.

Nice. It's not often I read fic that uses second-person, let alone correctly and well.

Plus, you know, Sawyer. And his issues. Yay!

I rarely write in the second person, but, for some reason, it felt right for this particular fic. I'm glad you liked it, and that you thought it worked. :)

I like the use of second person, especially with this. A lot of times I see people write her POV with them, and it's nice to see his instead.

I also like that you make the point that he doesn't love her, but he respects her, and that's why he stays. It feels very true to the situation and to him.

Great fic!

I don't frequently write in the second person, and I didn't originally intend to, but, well, the fic wants what it wants. And I thought that it worked well for this piece.

I also like that you make the point that he doesn't love her, but he respects her, and that's why he stays. It feels very true to the situation and to him.

To be perfectly honest, I never liked and didn't understand Cassidy, so writing from her POV probably would have been a challenge. But I think that Sawyer felt something for her. Not love, but certainly something more than the women before her. I think that showed, so I wanted to examine that.

I'm glad you liked it, and you thought it worked, thanks! :)

I really enjoyed this. As others have said, the second person works well here. I love how you differentiate between Sawyer's pretending to love Cassidy and what he actually feels for her - respect. It makes sense and fits so well with his character.
