This is an interesting glimpse into Otherville, with a nice twist that Alex knows why Juliet's there. I can see this happening, and it makes me hopeful for Juliet to see her in this kind of supportive role with somebody.

Thanks, hun. After Thursday's, I really wanted to explore that Alex and Juliet's relationship might have been like, and since there are some similarities between the two of them with regard to Ben, it gave me an interesting way in.

I'm glad you liked this. :) Thank you.

I really like this, so much. I can see every single but of it happening, you got Alex and Ben and Juliet perfectly, and I like the idea of Juliet being an older sister figure for Alex in her time of need. And considering how Ben felt for Juliet, I can see Ben, in his warped way, almost liking the fact that Alex went to her, that Alex liked Juliet too. You also truly captured how Ben is totally the kind of person who keeps the people he loves prisoner so they can't leave him, It's twisted.

On a strange aside as I think about Ben and Juliet, I have often wondered how Ben felt about Juliet's betrayal of him and her obvious feelings for Jack. I kind of like the idea of Ben resenting Jack in the way the creepy nerd might resent the cool kid for getting the girl's affections. Like Snape hating James for getting Lily. Random Harry Potter comparison for you. lol.

I think Ben would feel that Alex was safe with Juliet, that she would eventually come back even if she didn't really want to. Ben's pretty twisted, so I think he thought, for a while there, that he had assimilated Juliet and that she was "one of them". So, yeah, he'd probably trust her with Alex. And I can see Alex bonding with Juliet because they're kind of alike in that they're pretty much both victims of Ben (even though Juliet is a bit more aware of it than Alex is). I can see that drawing them together, especially under these circumstances.

I've been thinking a lot about it since then too, wondering what their relationship might have been like. I'm glad you liked this, thank you. :)

This is a great little piece. Last Thursday's episode proved that an existing relationship did exist between Juliet and Alex and the nature would have to be an intriguing one. I really loved the way you captured it here because they share a pain and a trust--the former being tenfold on the island and the latter not so much.

Excellent job! :)

I enjoyed this! I've been craving more of Juliet and Alex's relationship since the hug in the premiere, so I'm glad to see it explored here. Their joint hatred of Ben is a great connection to make.
