Awww. *sniffles* I hadn't even thought of this but I love the idea that Sawyer has that one memory of her and this kind of respect for her. So very sad but so lovely.

Thanks, hun. :) I've been mulling this little piece over for a while, and I finally got it down tonight. Sawyer and Libby didn't interact very much, but I was always pretty moved by his tenderness with her when he found her in the hatch, so I thought I'd explore that a little bit. That was quite beautiful and very Sawyer. I love how this is what he thinks as he looks at her dead body, how he only has the one good memory to tide him over, because that really is the best it's ever been for Sawyer in the face of death. Wonderful, insightful little fic. ♥

Exactly. Even with his parents, Sawyer has all these awful memories attatched to them, but he interacted so seldomly with Libby, I liked the idea that he only had this one memory of her, and it was a nice one. And I like the idea of Sawyer having someone that he could remember like that.
