I absolutely love the idea that River is Jenny! Its a lovely way to keep River and removes the forced romance from the show between River and the Doctor. I'm not much for River but I love the way you've written her here.

Actually, if you read the epilogue you'll find that River ISN'T Jenny, but that Jenny took her place (and occasionally Rose's, as we see in the bit I included from Journey's End) when Bad Wolf rewrote time to give River the choice she doesn't get in canon.

I'm so glad you're enjoying her! I love the idea of River Song but I hate how she ended up being written. She's so BAMF in Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead and I wanted to capture that awesomeness.

I will never ship her with the Doctor because what I've seen of their relationship is seriously unhealthy (hence my take on it in 'The Woman'). I do, however, ship her with Jenny and with Jack (though not at the same time XP).

JACKIE THREATENING THE DOCTOR.

AND THEN PETE COMES IN AND THE DOCTOR GOES ALL ONCOMING STORM. *drools*

AND THE SMUT, IS! THE SMUT. IT WAS GORGEOUS. FROM IT BEING ALL INTIMATE AND THEN ROSE BEING ALL DOMINATE AND THEN THE BONDING. *le sigh*

Of course the Doctor is a coward! Some things never change, even with regeneration.

I had to write River the way I think she should be in canon. Her relationship, when taken to its logical conclusion, is so different from how it's portrayed on TV.

The smut tripped me up a bit, but Rose has been 'Irene' for almost ten years--she's going to be a bit dominant, I think. XP And thank god because if you left the Doctor to it he'd run away, because as you said--he's a coward, every time.
