I like how Rose is stronger already in this story. She hasn't had Jimmy mess up her life yet(?), and he's able to show her how great she is without the aliens and universal tour. Can't wait for the second part!

I am really enjoying this AU. The TARDIS is wise beyond the Doctor's ability to understand. It is a bit sad that he is so bent on dying though. This Rose is so focused on making something of her life. I loved how disappointed the Doctor was that Shireen was not an alien.

The Doctor can't seem to stop himself from helping people wherever he goes. It is good to see him having some success:
There are things he should be doing, problems he should be solving, but-it's nice to affect change without having to blow something up or doom a species to extinction or even bother with local law enforcement. Sometimes it takes years for his changes to come to fruition (years that he doesn't have to spend waiting for a thank you or even an acknowledgment) but he can see the influence he's having on these kids. And it's nice...

The Doctor may have saved Rose, but I am sure she returns the favor.

Oh... Wow. I like this story and the idea behind it. You have such a brilliant knack for looking into the emotions of the characters, especially the mess that is Nine currently.
