I think Rose is spying on the future... And I like how her and River's friendship is progressing. They both hear and feel things others don't understand, and can help each other, I think. But Rose needs to help her with barriers, I think.

Rose sees a lot, but not always things she wants to see. Poor River and Rose, having to suffer through so much. They definitely have much to offer each other.
