Whoa. ok. That second to last line- this isn't a huge Turn Left scenario, is it? Cause if it ends like the episode I may just die.

But seeing as how River can see time lines, this could be a Turn Left scenario of her own choosing, without that creepy piggy-backing beetle. But this reminds me of another story I read, where River is in the computer library and she changes history by telling a different story to Cal, who houses all the history books, therefore rewriting time. I wonder what the crossroads is at in her timeline- early on or later? I'm sure it'll all be clear, but I want to know, darn it. Is it guaranteed that she'll choose the same path when the circle gets back around? What's preventing her from being selfish and choosing the path where she gets the Doctor?

And now to stop thinking, because my brain is beginning to hurt. Back to my biology report, where things at least make sense.

But this is an interesting addition to TLAWR, so thanks for adding it :D Funny what a little prompt can spark...

It was a good prompt. :D And the Crossroads situation is actually what happened in "The Path Not Traveled." I probably should go mention that in the author's note, as I mentioned "In Dreams," and they're all sort of interconnected.

Rose catches echoes of Bad Wolf in her dreams, and as River was conceived in the Vortex and apparently had Time Lord superpowers, I think it's fitting that she remembers at least bits of the (canon) timeline that she chose to alter and thus bring about my own stories. :D
