I'm ooooooooold. So ooooooooold.

(I apologise if this entry is somewhat lacking in my usual wit and charm, I wrote a really long one earlier but my Internetz closed down and it went away... D: )

Spent yesterday with a bunch of friends. Went and saw Juno at the cinema. It was a really, really brilliant film. It definitely had the feel of an indie ( Read more... )

Happy birthday!!
16 rocks, I had the time of my life when I was 16.
I'm sorry I can't help you for Windows XP, is your computer an old one or...?
Mardi Gras is the final day of Carnival, basically you can eat a lot and party because you couldn't do it before (religiously speaking). We celebrate it a bit in France but I don't know about the USA.

Happy birthday again!

Ohmygosh, I LOVE Juno! The main acress, Ellen Page, is Canadian- sh'es from Halifax. I approve.

I could ask my cousin about the Windows thing if I have to- he downloaded iTunes on our computer and we have XP...

Your grandpa's funeral?

If he knew anything off the top of his head that could be affecting it, that would be great! My mum's promised to talk to the computer guru at her work about it when she gets back. *fingers crossed*

Uhuh, my granpa died about a week ago I think. Apparently it was all very peaceful and he hadn't been conscious in a while and it was all fine. But I think the funeral's today.

I'm feeling slightly more optimistic about sixteen-ness since a lot of people have told me that it was a really fun age to be.

It's entirely possible that we have Mardi Gras in England and I just haven't noticed before... is it to do with the season of Lent and Easter?

As far as I know Mardi Gras is American for 'let's get pished'.

That was my impression too. But '4th July' and 'Thanksgiving' seem to be along the same lines as well...

Nonono! '4th of july' roughly translates as fireworks and 'thanksgiving' as 'time to stuff oneself with turkey'. You should go other there for a few months. Become fluent.

I love Juno too, I've seen it 3 times in the last 2 weeks and I still want to watch it more :D

I'm very sorry. I'm glad it was peaceful, though.

My cousin says it's hard for him to tell, since English computers are different or something. Silly cousin.. *shakes head*
